About

SalahNow is an independent app offering simple tools for prayer times, the Quran, qibla and daily worship.

Who publishes it?

SalahNow is a free prayer-times app developed and published by ALMU CO. The app is on the App Store and Google Play; the website is ezanim.app.

Why it exists

To give the prayer time together with where it comes from. Where we can verify an institution’s timetable and serve it as published, we show it; where an institution publishes no timetable, where the timetable is incomplete or suspended, or where it is only a profile you can select in the app, we calculate the time and mark the row “Calculated”. There are no ads, no subscription and no in-app purchases, and the core features need no account.

How are prayer times verified?

We download institutional timetables from the institutions’ own publications or from the service that relays them, and check on every maintenance run that the days ahead are complete. We have also compared the calculation with institutional publications in 13 countries, across 169,085 prayer-time cells. Figures and method, institution by institution

If you spot an error

Write to info@ezanim.app with the city, the date, the prayer and the source you compared against. We check the difference against the institution’s own publication. If the error is ours (a wrong location, a missing day, the wrong timetable matched), we fix it and carry the fix to the app and this site. If the difference comes from the institution’s timetable itself, we do not change the time it publishes; we reply with the reason. Messages are reviewed at least once a week.

How often is it updated?

City pages are prepared for the city’s local date every time they are opened, and they update the same day when the timetable on our server changes. Institutional timetables are refreshed by scheduled jobs: Diyanet’s next-year timetable between October and December; the Kemenag, KACST, Vaktija and MUIS timetables on 25 December; the JAKIM timetable on 1 January. Egypt’s city timetables are refreshed daily and Yemen’s monthly. Islamic holidays are checked often around announcement periods and weekly otherwise.

Independence

SalahNow is not affiliated with any institution. The names of Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, JAKIM, MUIS, Kemenag, KACST and others identify only the data source in use; they do not imply partnership or endorsement.

What we do not do

We do not show ads, sell subscriptions, offer in-app purchases or sell user data.
