Prayer notifications are not arriving
Check that the reminder for that prayer is on, then that SalahNow has notification permission.
Step by step
Open the prayer preference in the app
Notification settings list the six prayers separately. Confirm that the reminder is switched on for the prayer you are waiting for. Seeing a prayer time on screen does not mean its reminder is enabled. If the sound is set to silent, the notification appears without playing audio.
Confirm notification permission
In phone settings, check that SalahNow is allowed to send notifications and to show them on the Lock Screen and in the notification centre. On Android the notification channel sound may be muted separately, so review the channel settings too.
Check silent, focus and do-not-disturb modes
Focus modes, do not disturb and silent mode can suppress or mute a notification. Check whether SalahNow is allowed in those modes. A scheduled focus mode can cause a problem only at certain hours.
Review battery and background restrictions
Battery saving and background limits can prevent reminders from running as scheduled. On Android, manufacturer interfaces often add a separate “allow background activity” option. Remove the restriction for SalahNow and open the app once so reminders are scheduled again.
Review location and date settings
A wrong time zone or a stale location shifts when a reminder arrives. Confirm that your phone date and time are set automatically and that the location selected in the app is current.
