Delete Your Account and Data

This page explains how to delete your account in SalahNow (SalahNow: Prayer Times & Quran on Google Play), developed by ALMU CO, and the data linked to it. Creating an account is optional; you can use the app without one.

In the app, go to Profile › Security › Delete Account and confirm. Your account and the data listed below are deleted from our servers immediately. This cannot be undone.

Send an email with the subject “Delete account” from the email address registered to your account to info@ezanim.app. After confirming the account is yours, we delete it within 30 days at the latest and let you know.

Your account details (email address, name and an irreversible hash of your password), your profile photo, your Community posts, comments, likes and follows, the journal entries, worship tracking and photos in your Explore sync, your bookmarks, reading progress, dhikr history, settings and device records (including notification registrations). If you created a group room, ownership passes to its longest-standing member; if you are its only member, the room is deleted. Photo files attached to your posts are cleaned up automatically shortly afterwards.

Server logs kept for security and troubleshooting (IP address and request details) are deleted within 30 days. A record that the deletion took place (the account number and the number of records deleted; it contains no email address or name) is kept for security and legal obligations. Support emails and feedback you sent us, and copies of notifications forwarded to our team to moderate Community content, are not deleted automatically with the account; you can ask for their deletion at info@ezanim.app.

You can remove your profile photo in Edit Profile and delete your Community posts and comments one by one. Device Data › Delete All resets your reading progress, bookmarks and memorisation records on your device and on our server. To have any other data deleted, write to info@ezanim.app.

Even without an account, some data such as your madhab preference, dhikr history and the group rooms you join is stored on our server under a random identifier the app creates for your device. Write to info@ezanim.app to have it deleted. You can delete the data on your device yourself with Device Data › Delete All.
