Frequently asked questions.
Can I use SalahNow on this website?
This site introduces the mobile app and explains its use. Open SalahNow on your device to follow prayer times, find the qibla, read the Quran or count dhikr. The guides here help you use the options available in the app.
Why don’t prayer times match another timetable?
Compare the selected city, date, time zone, calculation method and local timetable source. Different sources or methods can produce different times. When asking for help, include your location and method preferences as well as the time difference.
Can I use the app without location permission?
You can select your city manually for prayer times. If you choose automatic location, manage permission in your phone settings. For location-dependent tools such as qibla, also review the location status and explanation shown in the app.
Why is a notification missing or silent?
Check the relevant prayer and reminder preference in the app, then your phone’s notification permission for SalahNow. Silent mode, focus settings and battery management may also affect it. A prayer time appearing on screen does not mean an audible reminder is enabled.
Does everything work without the internet?
Connection requirements depend on the feature and the content already on your device. New audio or content, account sync and shared room actions may need a connection. Check whether the audio you want to hear has also been loaded.
How is guest use different from account sync?
Guest use does not mean information is synced between devices through an account. Check your signed-in session and sync status to use account sync. Before changing devices or deleting local data, check the relevant records on the other device too.
Why is content in a different language from the menus?
Menu language and the languages available for Quran translations or other content are separate choices. Review language and source preferences within the relevant content section. Available languages vary by content type and source.
What should I do if the qibla compass is unstable?
Check location status and sensor or measurement guidance. Try again away from magnetic accessories and metal surfaces. Follow calibration guidance if the app shows it; a device without suitable sensor support is a different situation.
Does viewing a room mean I have joined the activity?
No. Check the room’s membership and participation status separately. Shared khatm progress and dhikr contributions belong to that room’s workflow; do not treat personal reading or counter increases as automatic contributions.
Why can’t I see widgets or Together options?
Appearance and availability depend on platform and installed version. Check your app version first. For shared activities, also review your account and room membership status.
What should I include when contacting support?
Your device model, operating system, app version, relevant section and steps that led to the issue are useful. Describe what you expected separately from what happened. Hide account or location details you do not want to share before sending a screenshot.
