How to add a prayer times widget

Press and hold the Home Screen, open the widget gallery, then pick a SalahNow widget.

Step by step

  1. Add it on iPhone

Press and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, enter edit mode and find SalahNow in the widget gallery. Choose a size and add it. For the Lock Screen, open the widget area from the Lock Screen customisation step.

  2. Add it on Android

Press and hold an empty area of the Home Screen and open the widget list. Drag one of the widgets listed under SalahNow into place. Size options vary with the manufacturer interface.

  3. Decide which widget to use

There are 34 widgets on iOS and 29 on Android, including the next prayer, the six prayers of the day, a daily verse, the Names of Allah, reading progress and a Ramadan view. The gallery preview makes it easier to pick what you want to see.

  4. If a widget does not refresh

Open the app and confirm that the location and daily view are current. Check that SalahNow is not restricted by battery or background limits. Remove and re-add the widget if needed.
