Location permission is optional; you can select your city manually and still follow prayer times.
Step by step
Select a city manually
On the location screen you can search for a country and city. A manually selected city stays until you change it. Where districts are available, picking the nearest district matches the timetable more closely.
Turn automatic location on or off
To use automatic location, grant SalahNow location permission in phone settings. You can remove the permission later in the same place, and the app continues with the last selected location.
Check the location after travelling
If you have changed city, confirm that the selected location in the app is current. A stale city makes both prayer times and the qibla direction look wrong.
Know where your location goes
The selected location is sent to our server to compute prayer times and the qibla direction. Mosque search additionally goes to the Google Places service. No data is collected for advertising or tracking; the privacy policy has the detail.
