Accounts and syncing between devices

Core features work without an account; an account is only for syncing between devices and shared rooms.

Step by step

  1. What works without an account

Prayer times, the Quran, qibla, dhikr counter, the calendar and your personal tracking records work without an account. Those records are kept on your device.

  2. What an account adds

Once you sign in, preferences and progress can sync between devices. Joining shared khatm and dhikr rooms and using the Community section require an account.

  3. Before you change devices

Before moving to a new device or removing the app, confirm that you are signed in and that syncing has completed. Records kept only on the device cannot be recovered after the app is removed.

  4. If syncing looks incomplete

Check your connection and which account you signed in with. If you use more than one account, records belong to the account you signed in with. Opening the app and waiting lets a pending sync finish.

Frequently asked questions.

Do guest records move to an account?

Check the state of the records on the device after signing in. Syncing works with the records of the account you signed in with.

Can I join a shared khatm without an account?

No. Joining an open room requires an account; viewing a room does not mean you have joined it.
