Keep prayer, qada and fasting records in one place

The Prayer tracker screen lets you record the prayers you have performed and the days you have fasted, with their dates. The qada log is a separate section in the same screen’s Prayer tab for counting prayers you still intend to make up. Records are kept on your device and can sync between devices once you sign in. This guide explains how the prayer, qada and fasting sections are used.

Mark a prayer as performed

The daily view lists the five obligatory prayers — Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha — and marking one records it for that day. A prayer from today cannot be marked before its time has begun. You can move to an earlier day within the past year and edit its records as well. Marking is your own record only; it does not affect notifications or the calculation of prayer times. On iOS 18 and later a Control Center button can mark a prayer without opening the app. A mark made by mistake can be undone in the same place.

Use the qada log

The qada log opens from the “Qada Log” row below the daily list in the Prayer tab of the Prayer tracker screen. It counts remaining prayers separately for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and, if you choose, Witr. You can enter the numbers yourself in steps of 1, 10 or 100, or enter a period in years, months and days to get an approximate figure for each prayer; the estimate counts a year as 365 days and a month as 30. When you perform a make-up prayer, “Performed” lowers the matching counter by one; completed prayers and recent actions are listed separately, and a mistaken action can be undone. The daily record and the qada log are separate sections, so marking today’s prayer does not change a qada count.

Fasting records

In the Fasting tab you can pick a day and record that you fasted, and undo a mistaken record in the same place; today and days within the past year can be chosen. Each record is marked as Ramadan, Make-up or Voluntary, and the monthly calendar shows the days you recorded. The fasting reminder in the Reminders section is optional and off by default; the same section lists the coming Mondays and Thursdays as voluntary fasting days. Quran reading progress is kept as separate surah, juz and page goals and is not mixed with prayer records.

Where your records are kept

Records are kept on your device first and can be used without an account. When you create an account and sign in, preferences and progress can sync between devices. Before switching devices or removing the app, check that syncing has completed. Contributions in shared khatm and dhikr rooms are separate from these personal records and appear in that room’s own workflow.

Frequently asked questions.

Does the app calculate my qada count?

Not exactly. If you enter the period you missed in years, months and days, it suggests an approximate number for each prayer; this is not a juristic calculation of what you owe. The estimate does not set aside personal circumstances such as menstruation and does not count make-up fasts; you can correct the numbers by hand at any time.

Do I need an account to track prayers?

No. Records are kept on your device. An account is only needed for syncing between devices and for shared rooms.

Will my records move to a new phone?

They can move through sync if you have created an account and signed in. Check the sync status before you change devices.
