Find mosques near you on the map or in a list
The mosque finder shows places of prayer around your current location on a map and as a list. Results come from Google Places data, so the screen needs an internet connection. You can open directions to a selected mosque in your phone’s maps app. This guide explains how the search works, where your location goes, and what to do when no results appear.
How the search works
When the screen opens, the app searches for mosques around your location and marks them on the map. The list view shows the same results ordered by distance. Tapping a marker or a row shows the name and the distance. You can also pan the map to review another area. Results are not a directory maintained by us but places recorded by the map provider, so coverage varies by region.
Location permission and data
Finding nearby mosques requires your location. It is sent to our server and from there to the Google Places service to run the search. If you prefer not to grant location access, you can pan the map manually and search that way. This screen shows no advertising and your location is not used for advertising. The privacy policy describes in detail which data is processed for which purpose.
Open directions
After selecting a mosque, the directions option opens your device’s maps app with that destination. Routing and navigation belong to the maps app; SalahNow does not calculate a route. Before starting navigation, confirm that the point on the map is the place you intend to visit. Names and positions come from the map provider’s record, so you may encounter an entry that is out of date.
If you see no results
Check your internet connection first; this screen does not work offline. Without location permission the search has no starting point. In rural areas or regions with few records the result count can be low, so widening the map helps. A mosque missing from the map does not mean it does not exist; it may simply not be recorded by the map provider.
