Albania prayer times
Daily and monthly prayer times for towns across Albania. The times are calculated with the Muslim World League method, and every row is labelled as calculated with the method named.
Scope of this claim
No institutional timetable is served for Albania. The times are calculated from each town’s coordinates with the Muslim World League method and have not been compared cell by cell with the calendar used in Albanian mosques, so this page makes no 0-minute claim.
Calculation and source
- Method
- Muslim World League
- Fajr 18°, isha 17°; a calculation, not a published timetable.
- Asr
- Asr is shown at a shadow ratio of one, the ratio Balkan community calendars print. You can switch to the Hanafi two-shadow Asr in the app; the other five times stay where they are.
- Precaution minutes
- None. The app adds no precaution minutes and personal minute adjustments start at zero.
- Time zone
- Albania moves its clocks forward at the end of March and back at the end of October. Every row is written in the local time in force on that day, so the table handles the change for you.
- Hijri calendar and crescent
- The start of Ramadan and both Eids is announced by the Muslim Community of Albania. The Hijri date in the app is calculated and can differ from the announcement by a day.

Which method the times use
For Albania the app does not read a timetable published by an institution; it calculates the times from each town’s coordinates. The method is that of the Muslim World League: fajr begins when the sun is 18 degrees below the horizon and isha when it is 17 degrees below, and sunrise, dhuhr, asr and maghrib follow from the sun’s position over the town on that day. The times have not been compared cell by cell with the calendar used in Albanian mosques, so this page does not say “0-minute difference”; every row is labelled as calculated and names the method.
The few minutes between the app and the mosque
Muftiate and community calendars in the Balkans usually add a precaution margin to the calculation: the maghrib adhan is written a few minutes after sunset, fajr a few minutes before the astronomical time. The app adds no such margin of its own. If the mosque in Tirana or in your own town calls the adhan a few minutes apart from the app, the per-prayer minute adjustment will close the gap while the method stays the same.
From the coast to the mountains
Albania is narrow: Shkodër in the north and Korçë in the south-east are a little over one degree of longitude apart, so sunrise and sunset move by a few minutes from town to town. Latitude matters more in summer, when the difference in day length between Bajram Curri in the north and Vlorë in the south separates the fajr and isha times. In mountain towns such as Peshkopi, Burrel and Librazhd the sun can disappear behind the ridges early, but the calculation uses the open horizon. For the closest result, pick your own town or the nearest one listed.
Clock, Asr and Ramadan
Albania uses UTC+1 in winter and UTC+2 in summer, and the table writes each day in the time in force on that day. Asr defaults to the shadow-one ratio because Balkan community calendars print it that way; the Hanafi shadow-two Asr can be selected in the app. During Ramadan the same data produces the Ramadan timetable, with fajr as suhoor and maghrib as iftar.
