Dates without an estimate label follow the announcements of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).

Dates labelled as estimates come from calculation, not from an announcement, and can shift by a day once the crescent is sighted.

The start of Ramadan and both Eids are announced nationally after the official rukyah observation, and the announcement applies to the whole federation including Sabah and Sarawak. Dates are therefore uniform across Malaysia, unlike prayer times, which vary by zone.
