Islamic holidays in Nigeria

Dates without an estimate label follow the announcements of the Sultan of Sokoto and the NSCIA National Moon Sighting Committee.

Dates labelled as estimates come from calculation, not from an announcement, and can shift by a day once the crescent is sighted.

The NSCIA, through the Sultan of Sokoto, announces the start of Ramadan and the two Eids. Some state councils announce separately, so a local date can differ by a day from the national one. The Hijri date shown in the app is calculated and may sit a day away from either.
